Installing a security cable To help prevent hardware theft, you can thread a security cable through the cable loop on the rear of the computer. After you add the security cable, make sure that it does not interfere with other cables that are connected to the computer. Before you begin, obtain the following items: v A security cable v A lock, such as a combination lock or padlock To install a security cable, complete the following steps: 1. Thread the cable through the cable loop and around an object that is not part of or permanently secured to the building structure or foundation and from which the cable cannot be removed. 2. Fasten the cable ends together with a lock. Make sure that the cable does not interfere with other cables that are connected to the computer. Cable loop Completing the installation To complete the installation, reinstall the bezel, reinstall the side cover, and reconnect all the external cables. Replacing the air baffle To replace the air baffle, complete the following steps: 1. Place the air baffle directly over the front fan unit. 2. Press the air baffle down until it snaps in place over the front fan unit. When the air baffle is correctly seated, the right edge of the air baffle rests on the left edge of the heat sink. cable
To
help

you
can

a
security
cable
through
the
cable
loop
on
the

computer.

add
the
security
cable,

the
cable
through
the
cable
loop
and
around
an
object
that

2.

the
cable
ends
together
with

lock.
Make
sure
that
the
cable
does
not
interfere
with
other
cables
that
are
connected

computer.
Cable loop
Completing
the
installation
To
complete
the
installation,
reinstall
the

reinstall
the
side
cover,
and
reconnect

Replacing
the
air
baffle
To
replace
the
air
baffle,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Place
the
air
baffle

over
the

2.

air
baffle
down

over

front
fan
unit.
When
the
air
baffle
is
correctly
seated,
the
right
edge
of
the
air
baffle
rests
on
the

of
