Insignia NS-LTDVD19 19" LCD TV/DVD Combo Connecting a computer To connect a computer: 1 Make sure that your LCD TV/DVD combo and computer are turned off. 2 Connect a VGA cable to the VGA port on the back of the computer and to the VGA IN jack on the back of your LCD TV/DVD combo. Make sure that you tighten the screws on the ends of the VGA cable. Using the TV Selecting the TV signal source To select the TV signal source: 1 Press MENU, then press CH+ or CH- one or more times until the following menu opens. 3 Connect a computer audio cable to the left and right audio output jacks on the computer and to the PC AUDIO IN jack on the back of your LCD TV/DVD combo. 4 Turn on the computer and your LCD TV/DVD combo, then press INPUT to select VGA. Notes If the picture quality is not good: • Adjust the brightness and contrast. • Change the PC's video resolution. • Change the refresh rate for the PC's video card. If you cannot change the refresh rate for the video card, you may need to replace the video card. Using basic controls Turning your LCD TV/DVD combo on and off To turn your LCD TV/DVD combo on and off: 1 Plug the power cord into a power outlet. The LED on the front of your LCD TV/DVD combo lights yellow. 2 Press POWER. The LED lights green. Adjusting the volume To adjust the volume: • Press VOL+ or VOL- to increase or decrease the volume. A number appears on the screen to indicate the volume level. • Press MUTE to mute the sound. Press MUTE again to restore the sound. Selecting the video mode To select the video mode: • Press INPUT one or more times to select the video mode you want. You can select TV, Composite, S-Video, VGA, Component, HDMI, or DVD. 2 Press VOL+ or ENTER, then press CH+ or CH- one or more times to select Tuning Band. 3 Press VOL+ or ENTER, then press VOL+ or VOL- to select the TV signal source. You can select Cable Auto, Air, Cable, Cable HRC, or Cable IRC. If you use satellite TV, select Air or Cable depending on the type of satellite TV signal. Memorizing channels To select channels with the CH buttons, your LCD TV/DVD combo needs to memorize channels. When your LCD TV/DVD combo memorizes channels, it scans for channels with signals, then stores the channel information into memory.
