Intel Desktop Board D5400XS Product Guide Installing and Removing the Desktop Board CAUTION Only qualified technical personnel should perform this procedure. Disconnect the computer from its power source before performing the procedures described here. Failure to disconnect the power before you open the computer can result in personal injury or equipment damage. Refer to your chassis manual for instructions on installing and removing the Desktop Board. CAUTION To ensure that you do not inadvertently short out the board during installation, use the enclosed Board Mounting Template to determine the appropriate location of chassis mounting standoffs. Be sure to remove the Board Mounting Template from the chassis before installing the board. Failure to do so can result in equipment damage. Figure 8 shows the location of the mounting screw holes for Desktop Board D5400XS. Figure 8. Desktop Board D5400XS Mounting Screw Hole Locations 32
