Others Troubleshooting Symptom IP address of VN-C215VP4U is unknown The web page of VNC215VP4U cannot be displayed The built-in viewer cannot be installed Authentication by VeriSign appears during installation of the built-in viewer A warning message appears upon starting up the built-in viewer TCP images cannot be played back Causes and Countermeasures ● You can search for the VN-C215VP4U unit using the attached ASearch ToolB. ● HCP client is set to AOnB in the default settings. ● When the DHCP client is set to AOnB and VN- C215VP4U is started up via a LAN in which a DHCP server does not exist, the startup will time-out after several minutes and the camera will run using the IP address A192.168.0.2B. Check the Internet Explorer settings. When a proxy server is in use, configure the proxy server settings of the Internet Explorer accordingly. Check the Internet Explorer settings. The built-in viewer consists of a software component called ActiveX. When using the built-in viewer for the first time, the ActiveX is supposed to be installed. However, the installation may be rejected depends on the setting of the AntiVirus software. In such case, change the setting of the AntiVirus software, and then install the built-in viewer. VeriSign's electronic signature is stored in the builtin viewer. For computers with a network environment that is connected to the Internet, the authenticity of the viewer can be verified via authentication by VeriSign. The built-in viewer consists of a software component called ActiveX. As other unsafe ActiveX are also found on the Internet, Internet Explorer may issue a warning message for security reasons. For this built-in viewer, press the [OK] button to proceed. The maximum number of TCP clients of VNC215VP4U is 5, and up to 5 built-in viewers can be connected to a VN-C215VP4U unit.
