3: Using DeviceInstaller Viewing the MatchPort's Current Configuration In the right window, click the Device Details tab. The current MatchPort configuration displays: Name Configurable field. Enter a name to identify the MatchPort. Double-click the field, type the value, and press Enter to complete. This name is not visible on other PCs or laptops using DeviceInstaller. DHCP Device Name Non-configurable field. Displays the name associated with MatchPort's current IP address, if the IP address was obtained dynamically. To change the DHCP device name, see 4: Configuration Using Web-Manager or 5: Configuration via Serial Mode or Telnet Port. Group Configurable field. Enter a group to categorize the MatchPort. Double-click the field, type in the value, and press Enter to complete. This group name is not visible on other PCs or laptops using DeviceInstaller. Comments Configurable field. Enter comments for the MatchPort. Double-click the field, type the comment, and press Enter to complete. This description or comment is not visible on other PCs or laptops using DeviceInstaller. Device Family Non-configurable field. Displays the MatchPort's device family type as MatchPort. Type Non-configurable field. Displays the device type as either MatchPort b/g or MatchPort NR. ID Non-configurable field. Displays the MatchPort's ID embedded within the box. Hardware Address Non-configurable field. Displays the MatchPort's hardware (MAC) address. Firmware Version Non-configurable field. Displays the firmware currently installed on the MatchPort. Extended Firmware Non-configurable field. Displays the full version nomenclature of the Version firmware. Online Status Non-configurable field. Displays the MatchPort's status as online, offline, unreachable (the MatchPort is on a different subnet), or busy (the MatchPort is currently performing a task). IP Address Non-configurable field. Displays the MatchPort's current IP address. To change the IP address, see 4: Configuration Using Web-Manager or 5: Configuration via Serial Mode or Telnet Port. IP Address was Obtained Non-configurable field. Indicates whether the current IP address on the MatchPort was set using static or DHCP. Subnet Mask Non-configurable field. Viewing the MatchPort’s Current Configuration
In the right window, click the
Device
Details
tab. The current MatchPort configuration
displays:
Name
Configurable field. Enter a name to identify the MatchPort.
Double-click the field, type the value, and press
Enter
to complete.
This name is not visible on other PCs or laptops using DeviceInstaller.
DHCP Device Name
Non-configurable field. Displays the name associated with
MatchPort’s current IP address, if the IP address was obtained
dynamically. To change the DHCP device name, see
4: Configuration

or

Group
Configurable field. Enter a group to categorize the MatchPort.

the box.
