Attendance messages Message Meaning Action Change [src] to [size] [type] load [orientation] Lets the user override the current print media source for the remainder of the print job. The formatted page prints as is on the print media installed in the tray. This may cause clipping of text or images. Touch Use current [src] to ignore the message and print on the print media loaded in the tray. Touch Continue: • which continues the job if the correct size and type are loaded in the tray, and this size and type are specified in the Paper Menu using the control panel. • which is ignored if there is no print media in the tray. Touch Cancel job to cancel the current job if needed. Touch Reset Active Bin to change to another linked bin. Check [src] guides Occurs when the source is configured for a media size that the MFP does not support or when a sheet of print media that is shorter or longer than expected prints from a source. Touch Continue to cause the MFP to not recognize tray [x]. Tray [x] and all trays installed below it are ignored. [src] is Tray 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or MP Feeder. The message clears when the connection is reestablished. Check [src] orientation or guides Occurs when the MFP does not know the actual print media size loaded in a tray due to an incorrect orientation setting or because the tray guides are not set correctly for the size of print media. Touch Continue to resume printing. Close cover [x] Cover x, where x is either Cover F which is the bridge unit assembly, sometimes called the horizontal transfer unit (HTU), or Cover K, which is the high capacity 2000-sheet feeder, is open. Close the specified cover to clear the message. Close door [x] Door x, where x is A, B, C, D, E, G or Close the specified door to clear the message. J, is open. Close surface H Surface H is the door on the finisher Close surface H (door) to clear the message. which is below the top output bin. Disk corrupted Occurs when the MFP attempts a hard disk recovery on a corrupted hard disk, and the hard disk cannot be repaired. The hard disk must be reformatted. Touch Reformat disk to reformat the hard disk and clear the message. Warning: All files stored on the hard disk are deleted. Disk Full - Scan Job Canceled The scan job cancels or stops due to insufficient hard disk space. Note: The scanner finishes scanning currently committed pages in the ADF, but data is lost when the job cancels itself. Touch Continue to clear the message. Empty the hole punch box The hole punch box is full. The hole punch does not function again until it is emptied. 1 Empty the hole punch box. 2 Replace it in the MFP. 3 Touch Continue to clear the message. Insert the hole punch box The hole punch box is removed from the MFP. The hole punch does not function again until the box is inserted. 1 Insert the hole punch box. 2 Touch Continue to clear the message. 97
