BIOS Setup Onboard FDC Controller Select Enabled if your system has a floppy disk controller (FDD) installed on the system board and you wish to use it. If you install add-on FDC or the system has no floppy drive, select Disabled in this field. The settings are: Enabled and Disabled. Onboard Serial Port Select an address and corresponding interrupt for the first and second serial ports. The settings are: 3F8/IRQ4, 2E8/IRQ3, 3E8/IRQ4, 2F8/IRQ3, Disabled, Auto. UART Mode Select This setting allows you to specify the operation mode for serial port 2. Setting options: IrDA, ASKIR, Normal. Normal IrDA ASKIR RS-232C Serial Port IrDA-compliant Serial Infrared Port Amplitude Shift Keyed Infrared Port RxD, TxD Active This setting controls the receiving and transmitting speed of the IR peripheral in use. Setting options: Hi/Hi, Hi/Lo, Lo/Hi, Lo/Lo. IR Transmission Delay This setting determines whether the IR transmission rate will be delayed while converting to receiving mode. Setting options: Disabled, Enabled. UR2 Duplex Mode This setting controls the operating mode of IR transmission/reception. Setting options: Full, Half. Under Full Duplex mode, synchronous, bidirectional transmission/reception is allowed. Under Half Duplex mode, only asynchronous, bi-directional transmission/reception is allowed. Use IR Pins Please consult your IR peripheral documentation to select the correct setting of the TxD and RxD signals. Setting options: RxD2/TxD2, IRRx2Tx2.
