Service Features Using SMS Text Messaging With SMS Text Messaging, you can send instant text messages from your phone to other messaging-ready phones - and they can send messages to you. In addition, SMS Text Messaging includes a variety of preset messages, such as "I'm running late, I'm on my way," that make composing messages fast and easy. You can also customize your own preset messages (up to 160 characters) from your phone. Composing SMS Text Messages To compose an SMS Text message: 1. Press O > Messaging > Send Message. 2. Enter the recipient's phone number and press O. Tip: To add another recipient, press Options (right softkey) and select New Recipient. You can also press Options (right softkey) and select Insert Contact to select a recipient from your Contacts. 3. Scroll to Message, compose your message text, and press O. Ⅲ To type a message, use your keypad to enter your message. Use the right softkey to select a character input mode. Ⅲ To use a preset message, press Options (right softkey), select Insert Preset Msg, highlight your desired message, and press O. 4. To ask the recipient to call you back, select the Callback check box and enter the number you can be reached at. 5. If your message is urgent, select the Urgent check box.
