Editing your file can cause your switch to lose its management capabilities, and possibly degrade its performance. Editing the configuration file will void your warranty. This menu allows you to save your configuration, in case you want to keep a copy for back-up purposes. We do not recommend editing your configuration file as many editors introduce unwanted characters that change the way the switch behaves. You also can choose the switch password saving mode, either Clear Text or Encrypted for security reasons. If you select "Clear Text", your password will be readable in the configuration file. This menu also allows you to download your configuration file back to the switch to restore your settings.
