MANUAL FOCUS 1 Set focus switch to M. If your AF Nikkor lens has an A-M switch, set it to M. 2 Look through the viewfinder and rotate the lens focus ring until the subject appears sharp. For maximum focusing accuracy when using a zoom lens. it is best to focus at the lens' longest focal length setting. Focusing at the shortest focal length setting and then zooming up to the longest focal length setting will magnify any slight imprecision in focusing and could result in unsharp pictures. 45
