Checking the status of the infrared connection • When is shown continuously, the infrared connection is active and your phone is ready to send or receive data via its infrared port. • When blinks, your phone is trying to connect to the other device or the connection has been lost. GPRS In this menu you can define when the phone connects to the GPRS network (network service). You can also define the GPRS settings for using the phone as a modem with a compatible PC (network service). To access this menu: Press Menu in standby mode, and select Connectivity and GPRS. GPRS indicators When the GPRS connection is active, is shown on the display. If the GPRS connection is suspended, for example because you make or receive a call during the connection, is shown on the display (in GSM networks only). Selecting the GPRS connection mode In the GPRS menu, select GPRS connection and Always online or When needed. • If you select Always online, the phone automatically registers to a GPRS network when you switch the phone on. The phone remains registered to the GPRS network even when you do not use it. When Always online is selected and the GPRS service is available, is shown on the display. Copyright © 2003 Nokia. Checking the status of the infrared connection
When
is shown continuously, the infrared connection is active and your

connection has been lost.
GPRS
In this menu you can define when the phone connects to the GPRS network
(network service). You can also define the GPRS settings for using the phone as a
modem with a compatible PC (network service).
To access this menu:

GPRS indicators
When the GPRS connection is active,
