Appendix A
Troubleshooting
Unable to Print
If your OkiLAN 6100e+ passes self-test, but you are
unable to send data to the printer via the OkiLAN
6100e+, first try to print a configuration sheet from the
OkiNet for VINES utility. If you are unable to print a
configuration sheet, check the following:
Printer configuration
Printer hardware
Computer network adapter cards
Cabling and/or connectors
If a configuration sheet prints, but print jobs still are
not printing, check the OkiLAN 6100e+ Print Service
Status using OkiNet for VINES.
Print Manager Errors
These errors may display on your screen when an error
condition occurs within the OkiNet for VINES utility.
Print server unable to attach to print service
The Printer Service to which you are trying to attach
can only support one remote connection at a time. If
you receive this message, check for the following:
Make sure the
PC Network Printing Option
is
installed on the server where the Printer Service
resides.
Make sure the destination is a PCPRINT.
Another printer network interface card or a client
running PCPRINT may already be attached to the
service.
Check that the Print Service has not been stopped
via the MANAGE utility.
