Chapter 15 Performing HotSync® Operations To perform a HotSync operation on a Windows computer: 1. Plug the HotSync cable into the port on the bottom of your handheld. 2. If HotSync Manager is not running, start it: On the Windows desktop, click Start, and then select Programs. Navigate to the Palm Desktop software program group, and select HotSync Manager. Alternatively, you can start the Palm Desktop software, which automatically opens HotSync Manager. 3. Turn on your handheld. 4. Tap the Star icon on the Home screen. 220
