Cradle 68 You can connect external equipment in variety by attaching the computer to the Cradle (optional). For further information, read the operating instructions that come with the Cradle. „ Setting the computer to the Cradle 1 Turn off the computer. z Do not use sleep or hibernation function. 2 Connect the AC adaptor to the DC-IN jack on the Cradle. 3 Insert the computer to the Cradle from the top, facing the LCD panel to your side.   CAUTION z Hot or warm docking/undocking is not possible with the Cradle. z If connector contacts become dirty, brush off the dirt. Wipe off the water if attached. Contact failure may occur. „ To deactivate USB ports You can deactivate USB ports on the Cradle. Select [Disabled] in [Cradle USB Port] of the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility (Î page 85).

Setting the computer to the Cradle

Turn off the computer.
Do not use sleep or hibernation function.

Connect the AC adaptor to the DC-IN jack on the Cradle.

Insert the computer to the Cradle from the top, facing the
LCD panel to your side.
CAUTION
Hot or warm docking/undocking is not possible with the Cradle.
If connector contacts become dirty, brush off the dirt. Wipe off the water if attached. Contact failure may occur.
To deactivate USB ports
You can deactivate USB ports on the Cradle.
Select [Disabled] in [Cradle USB Port] of the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility (
page 85
).
