ADVANCED SURROUND (page 30, 32) Use to switch between the various surround modes. STEREO/DIRECT (pages 30-31) Switches direct playback on or off. Direct playback bypasses the tone controls and channel levels for the most accurate reproduction of a source. 4 CH SELECT (page 39) Use to select a channel when setting up the surround sound of the receiver. TEST TONE (page 39) Use to sound the test tones when setting up the surround sound of the receiver. LEVEL +/- (page 39) Use to set up the levels of the surround sound of the receiver. EFFECT +/- (page 32) Use to add or subtract the amount of effect in the Movie, Music and Expanded Advanced Surround modes. 5 MUTE Use to mute the sound or restore the sound if it has been muted. 6 MASTER VOLUME Use to set the overall listening volume. 7 TOP MENU Use to return to the most basic menu on a DVD player or disc.
