06-Additional 12/10/99 5:51 AM Page 5 Selectable options These instructions assume that you have followed the steps on page 5.2 under 'Setting an option' and the machine is prompting you to change one of the options listed here. • LANGUAGE - You can select the display language from English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch. • SEND FROM MEMORY - This feature enables all transmission documents to be automatically scanned into the memory before transmission. Select ON to turn this feature on. Select OFF to turn this feature off. • SENDING CONFIRM - A confirmation report shows whether the transmission was successful or not, how many pages were sent, etc. Select ON to print a confirmation report automatically each time you send a fax. Select OFF to turn this feature off. Select ERROR to print only when an error occurs and the transmission was not successful. • FAX PAPER SIZE - Select the paper size you will use for the recording paper. LETTER, A4 and LEGAL size are available. • TONER SAVE MODE - You can preserve the toner supply with this mode. Select ON to turn this feature on. The machine prints documents using less toner. The print quality may be reduced. Select OFF to turn this feature off. • POWER SAVE MODE - The power saving menu item lets you reduce power usage when the printer is idle. Select the desired time to turn this feature on. The time you choose determines the length of time the printer waits after a job is printed before it switches to a reduced power state.
