HOW TO USE THE NETWORK SCANNER FUNCTION SELECTING THE QUALITY You can adjust the quality manually to match the type of original. After loading the original in scanner mode, follow the steps below. The factory default settings are "TEXT/PHOTO" for the image quality, and "AUTO" for the density. 1 Touch the [QUALITY] key. 4 Adjust the density. AUTO QUALITY 300dpi RESOLUTION TIFF-G4 FILE FORMAT AUTO 8½X11 2 Selecting the original type. AUTO OK MANUAL 1 3 5 Touch the or key to adjust the scanning density. (Touch the key for a darker image or the key for a lighter image.) 5 Touch the [OK] key. 2 ORIGINAL IMAGE TYPE TEXT TEXT/PHOTO PHOTO Touch the appropriate key for the type of original to be scanned. The image will be 1 processed according to the selected type. You can select the original type from "TEXT", "TEXT/PHOTO" or "PHOTO". AUTO OK MANUAL 1 ·3 5 You will return to the initial screen. Touch the [KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS] key.	4
Use the numeric keys to enter the five-digit key operater code.	4
Touch a key to select the desired category of key operator programs.	4
Use the numeric keys to enter the new 5-digit key operator code.	4
Touch the [OK] key. You will return to the screen of step 4.	4
Press the [CLEAR ALL] key () to exit the program.	4

The following keys appear in screens that require the entry of numerical values.	5
When a checkbox () appears in front of a setting, a checkmark () will appear when the checkbox is touched. This indicates that the setting is enabled. If a checkbox with a checkmark () is touched, the checkmark is cleared () and the setting is disabled.	5
When a key that appears in the form is touched, the setting screen of that key will appear.	5
If the settings continue on the following screen(s), touch the and keys to move back and forth through the screens. To return to the category selection screen, touch the [OK] key.	5
