Playing Back In the -Basic Camera Operation" section (page 19), the basic connections to your TV are explained. In this section, several other ways of connecting your camcorder to a TV are explained. depending on the type of TV you have. You can properly connect the camcorder to the TV by using the supplied AC-V25S AC power adaptor. Connecting to a TV with Video/Audio Inputs Use the supplied AC-V25S AC power adaptor and AN connecting cable to connect to the TV. Make sure that the TV is turned off to prevent damage to the speaker. There are two ways of connecting. With the conneting adaptor • VHF/UHF 5 nom .901,104MIGI • 0/1•0C OUT to VIDEO IN AU• DIO (L,R) IN 2 * to VIDEO OUT A/V connecting cable supplied to AUDIO (L.R) OUT Agn= : Signal flow Note 1 Connect the Video and Audio jacks of the TV and the connecting adaptor with the A/V cable. If your TV is a monaural type, use the supplied AV connecting cable. 2 Connect the AC power adaptor to the connecting adaptor. - Push the AC power adaptor against the connecting adaptor and then slide the AC power adaptor in the direction of the arrow. 3 Connect the AC power adaptor to a wall outlet. 4 Attach the connecting plate of the connecting adaptor to your camcorder. 5 Set the CHARGE/VTR switch to VTR. When disconnecting your camcorder, detach the connecting plate of the connecting adaptor from the camcorder. You may keep the connection between the TV and the AC power adaptor. • Disconnect the AC power adaptor from the wall outlet when it will be used for a long time. • You can connect the charged battery pack to the connecting adaptor instead of the AC power adaptor in step 2. • The Video and Audio jacks on the connecting adaptor are used only for output video and audio signals. The camcorder does not record through these jacks. Perform only steps 4 and 5 when playing back a tape. You can keep the AC power adaptor and the connecting adaptor connected to the TV when playing back a tape. 50 Advanced Camera Operation
