Chapter 3 Playing Discs (CDP-NW10 only) This chapter describes how to play a CD disc or how to play audio in various modes using the CDP-NW10. Playing a CD Disc 1 Press X/1 (POWER). The Unit turns on. 2 Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the door, then place a disc on the spindle firmly. Playback side facing the Unit 20US 3 Press OPEN/CLOSE. The door closes. 4 Press the "CD" SELECT on the Home Menu. The track list appears on the front panel display. When the Unit has been connected to the Internet via a computer, the track titles are downloaded from the Gracenote CDDBR server, and the track titles appear on the front panel display. You can select and play back desired tracks from these lists. When the Unit is not connected to a computer or your computer is not connected to the Internet, only "TRACK1," "TRACK2," etc., appear on the front panel display. 5 Press N. When CD information is downloaded from Gracenote CDDBR, you can also press the "TRACK" SELECT. To stop playing a disc Press x. Additional operations To Press Mute the sound MUTING. To cancel muting, press it again or press VOLUME + to adjust the sound volume. Select a track number Numeric buttons (0-9). When the track number is between 1 and 9: press the corresponding numeric button, then press N. When the track number is 10 or higher: press the corresponding numeric buttons in sequence. e.g.: Playback of the 14th track Press 1 t 4 in order. Note If there is no disc in the Unit or a disc that cannot be read by the Unit, "NO DISC" appears on the front panel display.
