When you want to select the line beforehand, press (LINE 1), (LINE 2), (LINE 3) or (LINE 4). The corresponding line button lights up. 2 Dial the phone number. The phone number dialed appears on the display. 3 When you're done talking, replace the handset in the cradle (or press (SPEAKERPHONE)). The disconnected line button goes off. Note If there is a line put on hold, you cannot make a call by just picking up the handset and pressing (SPEAKERPHONE) in step 1. Press a line button that is not used first, and then dial the phone number.
