Formatting a Network Walkman You can initialize a Network Walkman of a different format or in an unusual condition and make it usable. MENU Sound effect Sound list display You can adjust the DSO, equalizer, bass, treble, balance, fader, subwoofer volume and loudness. SOURCE F3 R dial 1 Display the source list. (page 16) 2 Rotate the R dial to select "Digital I/O," then press (MENU). 3 Rotate the R dial to select "Format," then press the R dial. The confirmation dialog appears. 4 Rotate the R dial to select "OK," then press the R dial. Formatting starts. 5 Press (F3) ( ). The normal display appears. To cancel formatting Select "Cancel" in step 4. Note You can format Network Walkman NW-E2/E3 only. L dial To adjust the setting 1 Press (SOURCE) to select a source. 2 Press the L dial. The sound list display appears. 3 Rotate the L dial to select the item you want to adjust, then press the L dial. As you rotate the L dial, the item changes as follows: DSO y EQ7 y BAS (Bass) y TRE (Treble) y BAL (Balance) y FAD (Fader) y SUB (Subwoofer) y LOUD (Loudness) y DSO 4 Rotate the L dial to adjust the selected item. 5 Press the L dial. The normal display appears. 45
