Help Guide Linear PCM Recorder PCM-D10 Reducing noise during recording (LCF(Low Cut)) With the LCF(Low Cut) function, you can reduce noise in the recordings. The LCF(Low Cut) function helps minimize unnecessary bass noises, such as breathing noises picked up by the microphone. 1 Select [ Settings] - [Recording Settings] - [LCF(Low Cut)] from the HOME menu, and then press . 2 Press or to select [On (75Hz)] or [On (150Hz)], and then press . 3 Press and hold BACK/HOME to return to the HOME menu. To return to the screen before you displayed the HOME menu, press STOP. Description of menu items You can select one of the following items: OFF: Turns off the LCF(Low Cut) function (default setting). On (75Hz): Filters out sounds with the frequency of 75 Hz or lower. On (150Hz): Filters out sounds with the frequency of 150 Hz or lower. Note When a device is connected to the XLR/TRS jack(s) and either or both of the left and right XLR/TRS INPUT LEVEL switches are placed in the [LINE] position, the LCF(Low Cut) function does not work. When an external device is connected to the MIC IN/LINE IN jack and the MIC/LINE INPUT LEVEL switch is placed in the [LINE] position, the LCF(Low Cut) function does not work. Hint To cancel the LCF(Low Cut) function setup process, select [OFF] in step 2. The [On (75Hz)] filter may slightly affect the recorded sound quality.
