Help Guide Linear PCM Recorder PCM-D10 The input audio volume is too loud or not loud enough when you record audio from an external device. Use an audio connection cable to connect your linear PCM recorder to the headphones jack on an external device and adjust the volume level on the external device. If you use an audio connecting cable with high resistance, the recording volume will decrease. Use an audio connecting cable without resistance. The MIC/LINE INPUT LEVEL switch or the XLR/TRS INPUT LEVEL switch is in the wrong position. When using the built-in microphones or an external microphone for recording, slide the switch to [MIC]. When using the connected external device for recording, slide the switch to [LINE]. If a recording starts but no playback sounds are heard, the recording volume may be too low. Turn the REC LEVEL dial to adjust the recording volume. 4-744-529-11(2) Copyright 2018 Sony Corporation 185
