Location and Function of Controls Top/Front/Left Side Rear/Right Side/Bottom 0 4 qa 5 qs 6 qd 7 8 qf 9 qg 1 Control panel For details, see "Control Panel" on page 12. 2 Lens protector (lens cover) The lens protector automatically opens when the power is turned on. 3 Ventilation holes (exhaust) 4 Remote control detector 5 Adjuster (hind pad) Turn the adjuster to the right or left for minor tilt adjustment of the projected picture. 6 Ventilation holes (intake)/Lamp cover 7 Ventilation holes (intake)/air filter cover Notes • Do not place anything near the ventilation holes as it may cause internal heat build-up. • Do not place your hand or objects near the ventilation holes as it may cause the air coming out heat buildup. • To maintain optimal performance, clean the air filter every 500 hours. For details, see "Cleaning the Air Filter" on page 42. 8 Ventilation holes (intake) 9 Powered tilt adjuster 0 Indicators POWER SAVING Lights up when the projector is in power saving mode. TEMP (Temperature)/FAN Lights up or flashes under the following conditions: - Lights up when temperature inside the projector becomes unusually high. - Fashes when the fan is broken. LAMP/COVER Lights up or flashes under the following conditions: - Lights up when the lamp has reached the end of its life or becomes a high temperature. - Flashes when the lamp cover is not secured firmly.
