Updating the firmware Two separate types of firmware can be updated to add functions to this card. • Card firmware • Dante module firmware Both firmware updates must be conducted separately. Check the TEAC Global Site (http://teac-global.com/) for details about the latest firmware and update procedures. Notes about Dante Dante is a transmission protocol developed by Audinate. Using networks based on gigabit Ethernet standards, it enables multichannel (512 IN/512 OUT) transmission and high precision, for example. See the following Audinate web page for information about the open source components used by the Dante module circuit board. https://www.audinate.com/software-licensing Names and functions of parts This card has two RJ-45 connectors that support gigabit Ethernet. Use LAN cables to connect these connectors to other devices that support Dante or a Dante network. Rear panel 1 PRIMARY connector This is the main Dante transmission connector. Use this to connect to a Dante network all the time. 2 SECONDARY connector This is the secondary Dante transmission connector. The use changes depending on the mode.
