TL-SG3109/TL-SL3428/TL-SL3452 Gigabit Managed Switch Family CLI Reference Guide spanning-tree hello-time The spanning-tree hello-time Global Configuration mode command configures the spanning tree bridge hello time, which is how often the device broadcasts hello messages to other devices.To return to the default configuration, use the no form of this command. Syntax spanning-tree hello-time seconds no spanning-tree hello-time Parameters • seconds - Time in seconds. (Range: 1 - 10) Default Configuration The default hello time for IEEE Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is 2 seconds. Command Modes Global Configuration mode User Guidelines When configuring the hello time, the following relationship should be kept: Max-Age >= 2*(Hello-Time + 1) Example The following example configures spanning tree bridge hello time to 5 seconds.
