TL-SG3109/TL-SL3428/TL-SL3452 Gigabit Managed Switch Family CLI Reference Guide spanning-tree max-age The spanning-tree max-age Global Configuration mode command configures the spanning tree bridge maximum age. To return to the default configuration, use the no form of this command. Syntax spanning-tree max-age seconds no spanning-tree max-age Parameters • seconds - Time in seconds. (Range: 6 - 40) Default Configuration The default maximum age for IEEE Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is 20 seconds. Command Modes Global Configuration mode User Guidelines When configuring the maximum age, the following relationships should be kept: 2*(Forward-Time - 1) >= Max-Age Max-Age >= 2*(Hello-Time + 1) Example The following example configures the spanning tree bridge maximum-age to 10 seconds.
