Creating New Configurations

Scanning from Buttons Creating New Configurations Each scanner button has preset configurations that you cannot change. These preset configurations are shown in the Select Configuration list on the Configuration dialog box. If you want to scan with settings other than those offered by the preset configurations, you must first create a new configuration and then use it to scan. Your new configuration is saved in the Select Configuration list so that you can use it again. You can also change the settings on configurations that you create. Note that each new configuration applies to both the scanner button and destination application that you select when creating the configuration. To create a new configuration: 1. From the Windows Start menu choose Program Files, point to ScanSoft PaperPort 9.0, and then DocuMate Configure. The Configuration dialog box opens. 2. Click the tab of the button that you want to associate with the new configuration. 3. Select the destination application that you want to associate with the new configuration. 4. Click New to start creating a new configuration. You can also click Copy to copy a preset configuration and change its settings and save it as a new configuration. 5. To create a new configuration:
