■ Initializing a CD-RW disc This operation initializes a CD-RW disc. 1. Set a CD-RW disc in the disc tray, then press and hold ERASE for about two seconds. "Erase Disc ?" appears on the display. "Erasing" flashes on the display, and the level meter shows the erasing progress (the process takes about 20 minutes). Notes • "Erase Last" and "Erase TOC" cannot be applied to a CD-RW disc recorded with "Full Auto" (P.42) (except for adding track data to a disc without finalization) or a CD-RW disc recorded with duplication. • Never turn off the power of this unit during erasing. • If "Check Disc" appears on the display during erasing, and erasing stops, there may be dust or damage on the CD-RW disc.
