EDITING ALBUMS Track Shuffle You can change the order of tracks in an album. 1. If "Track Shuffle" is selected (P.52), the following screen appears. Track number Shuffle001 1? L dB -30 -10 -6 -2 0 R GROUP Album to change its tracks' order If the edit menu is selected during playback, the unit automatically selects the item to be edited. In this case, skip to step 6 since you do not need to select an item. 2. Rotate the MULTI JOG knob (press +/- on the remote control) to select the album to change its track' order. 3. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote control) to confirm the album. The number of the track to be moved flashes. Press CLEAR to cancel the confirmed selection. 4. Rotate the MULTI JOG knob (+/- on the remote control) to select the track to be moved. 5. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote control) to confirm the track. The display scrolls to the left to indicate the number of the album to change its tracks' order, the number of the track to be moved, and the new track number. New track number 001 1≥ 2 L dB -30 -10 -6 -2 0 R TRACK Album to change its Track to be moved track' order Press CLEAR to cancel the confirmed selection. 6. Rotate the MULTI JOG knob (press +/- on the remote control) to select the new track number. 7. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote control) to confirm the new track number. Press CLEAR to cancel the confirmed selection. 8. Press COMPLETE. The selected track has been moved and assigned a new number. This unit returns to the editing menu item selection. Track Level You can adjust the sound level of track in an album. 1. If "Track Level" is selected (P.52), the following screen appears. Track to adjust its level Level 001 1? Rotate the MULTI JOG knob (+/- on the remote control) to select the track to adjust. 5. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote control) to confirm the track. Playback of the confirmed track starts, and the following message appears on the display. Tr. 1 0.0dB L dB -30 -10 -6 -2 0 R LEVEL Track to adjust its level Press CLEAR to cancel the confirmed selection. 6. Rotate the MULTI JOG knob (press +/- on the remote control) to adjust the level. Adjustment is possible in the -12dB to +12dB range by 0.4dB steps. You can compare the level with the previous or next track' level by pressing t/e or r/y (T or Y on the remote control). 7. Press COMPLETE. The level of the selected track is confirmed. This unit returns to the editing menu item selection. (If the edit menu is carried on during playback, playback restarts.) 56
