SYSTEM UTILITY ■ Setting the display brightness (Dimmer Setup) You can change the brightness of the display. 1. Carry out steps 1 to 3 in "Checking the firmware version (Firm. Version)" (P.73). The display changes for the system utility item selection. 2. Rotate the MULTI JOG knob (press +/-, H or G on the remote control) to select "Dimmer Setup". Dimmer Setup L dB -30 -10 -6 -2 0 R 3. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote control) to display the current setting. Rotating the MULTI JOG knob (pressing +/-, H or G on the remote control) changes the setting as follows. Dimmer Bright L dB -30 -10 -6 -2 0 R Dimmer Mid L dB -30 -10 -6 -2 0 R Dimmer Dark L dB -30 -10 -6 -2 0 R Memo Initial setting is "Dimmer Bright". 4. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote control) or COMPLETE. The display brightness has been set. 5. Press a or MENU to exit. The unit returns to the stop mode. ■ Setting the video output (VIDEO Output) You can switch the on-screen display output through the VIDEO OUT jacks on and off. 1. Rotating the MULTI JOG knob (pressing +/-, H or G on the remote control) switches the setting between "VIDEO On" and "VIDEO Off". Memo Initial setting is "VIDEO On". 4. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote control) or COMPLETE. The on-screen display output is set to on or off. Memo Select "VIDEO Off" if the on-screen display is not used so that you can enjoy playback or recording with higher quality sounds. 5. Press a or MENU to exit. The unit returns to the stop mode. 74
