ENGLISH Connections Connections Connectors CAUTION Before connecting the Clavinova to other electronic components, turn off the power to all the components. Before turning the power on or off to all components, set all volume levels to minimum (0). Otherwise, electrical shock or damage to the components may result. 1 (LEVEL FIXED) 2 CLP-240 SELECT USB TO DEVICE 3 (on the left of the panel) (LEVEL FIXED) R L AUX OUT R L/L+R AUX IN USB TO DEVICE TO HOST IN 3 4 THRU MIDI OUT OUT MIDI THRU 5 CLP-230 TO HOST IN R L AUX OUT 1 R L/L+R AUX IN 2 USB 5 4 1 AUX OUT [R] [L] Pin jacks (LEVEL FIXED) You can connect these jacks to a stereo system to amplify the Clavinova or to a cassette tape recorder to record your performance. Refer to the diagram below and use audio cables to make the connections. CAUTION When the Clavinova's AUX OUT jacks are connected to an external audio system, first turn on the power to the Clavinova, then to the external audio system. Reverse this order when you turn the power off. Clavinova (LEVEL FIXED) Stereo R L AUX OUT AUX OUT RCA pin plug AUX IN RCA pin plug audio cable When these are connected (with RCA pin plug; LEVEL FIXED), the sound is output to the external device at a fixed level, regardless of the [MASTER VOLUME] slider setting. NOTE Use audio cables and adaptor plugs with no resistance. NOTE The Clavinova's [MASTER VOLUME] slider setting does not affect the signal output from the AUX OUT (LEVEL FIXED) jacks. NOTE When the sound from the AUX OUT jacks is routed to the AUX IN jacks, the input sound will be output from the speaker of the CLP.
