RECEIVING RDS STATIONS (U.K. and Europe models only) TP (Traffic Program) mode You can search the station which broadcasts the traffic information. 1 Press FM/AM so that "FM" appears in the display. 2 Press RDS repeatedly so that "RDS" and "TP" flash in the display. RDS TP 3. Within 5 seconds, press TUNING / or ? to start searching for a station which has TP data. 4. When the unit finds a station which has TP data, it stops searching and the Program Service name appears and "RDS" and "TP" lights up in the display. When the unit cannot find a station which has TP data, "NO PROG" appears in the display, then the frequency or Program Service name appears in the display. CT (Clock Time) mode The current time is displayed. The CT data from the station being received changes every minute. In this mode, the unit can correct the time of the built-in clock automatically by synchronizing it with CT data. 1 Search the desired FM station with PS data (see "To search the station with RDS data" on page 15). 2 Press CT. "CT" and the current time appear in the display. CT Current time Note • The CT data from the station is transferred every minute. Therefore it takes up to 1 minute until the current time appears, then press CT again to display the current time. If the station does not have CT data, "NO CT" appears in the display, then the Program Service name or frequency appears in the display. RT (Radio Text) mode Information about the program (such as title of the song, name of the singer, etc.) on the RDS station being received is displayed. 1 Search the desired FM station with PS data (see "To search the station with RDS data" on page 15). 2 When the station broadcasts RT data, "RDS" and "RT" appears in the display. RDS RT 3 Press RT. RT data appears in the display. If the station does not have RT data, "NO TEXT" appears in the display, then the Program Service name appears in the display. E-16
