SOUND FIELD PARAMETER DESCRIPTIONS ■ REV.TIME (Reverberation time) Function: This parameter adjusts the amount of time it takes for the dense, subsequent reverberation sound to decay by 60 dB (at 1 kHz). This changes the apparent size of the acoustic environment over an extremely wide range. Description: The longer the reverberation time, the more "live" the listening room environment seems. The shorter the reverberation time, the more "dead" the listening room environment seems. Control Range: 1.0 - 5.0 sec Reverberation Source Sound Reverberation Early Reflections 60 dB 60 dB 60 dB Sound Source REV.TIME Short Reverberation REV.TIME REV.TIME Long Reverberation Small value = 1.0 s Large value = 5.0 s ■ REV.DELAY (Reverberation delay) Function: This parameter adjusts the time difference between the beginning of the direct sound and the beginning of the reverberation sound. Description: The larger the value, the later the reverberation sound begins. A later reverberation sound makes you feel like you are in a larger acoustic environment. Control Range: 0 - 250 msec Source Sound Level (dB) Reverberation 60 dB Time REV.DELAY REV.TIME ■ REV. LEVEL (Reverberation level) Function: This parameter adjusts the volume of the reverberation sound. Description: The larger the value, the stronger the reverberation becomes.
