TROUBLESHOOTING ■ AUTO SETUP Before AUTO SETUP Error message Cause Remedy Connect MIC! Unplug Phones! No Setup Menu! Memory Guard! Optimizer microphone is not connected. Headphones are connected. No setup menu items have been selected. This setting is protected. Connect the supplied optimizer microphone to the OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front panel. Unplug the headphones. Select at least one setup menu item. Remove the protection setting for AUTO SETUP. During AUTO SETUP Error message Cause Remedy E01:No Front SP E02:No Surr. SP E03:No PRNS SP E04:SBR->SBL E05:Noisy E06:Check Surr. E07:No MIC E08:No Signal E09:User Cancel E10:Internal Err Front L/R channel signal(s) is (are) not detected. Select the front speakers by pressing SPEAKER A or B on the front panel (or by setting AMP/SOURCE/ TV to AMP and then pressing SPEAKER A or B on the remote control). Check the front L/R speaker connections. A surround channel signal is not detected. Check the surround speaker connections. A presence channel signal is not detected. Check the presence speaker connections. Only right surround back channel signal is detected. Connect the surround back speaker to the LEFT SURROUND BACK SPEAKERS terminal if you only have one surround back speaker. Background noise is too loud. Try running AUTO SETUP in a quiet environment. Turn off noisy electric equipment like air conditioners or move them away from the optimizer microphone. Surround back speaker(s) is (are) connected, though surround L/R speakers are not. Connect surround speakers when you use (a) surround back speaker(s). The optimizer microphone was unplugged Connect the supplied optimizer microphone to during the AUTO SETUP procedure. OPTIMIZER MIC jack on the front panel. The optimizer microphone does not detect Check the microphone setting. test tones. Check the speaker connections and placement.
