Programming the Remote Set up your remote to operate other brand name devices 1 Turn on the device you want to program. Indicator Light 2 On the chart on page 46/47, find the type of device you're programming, and then find the brand name. Write down the 3 PRG POWER 7 three-number code(s). CABLE VCR AUX TV 4 3 Press and hold PRG. It's recessed so it doesn't get pushed accidentally. Use a small, blunt object. When the indicator light turns on, you can release PRG. SURF FLASHBK MUTE CHANNEL VOLUME VOLUME 4 Push the button name with the type of device you're pro- gramming: VCR, CABLE, AUX, TV. 5 5 Using the NUMBER keypad, enter the three-number code you found on page 46/47. CHANNEL 123 4 56 7 89 6 Press ENTER to save the code. (The indicator light will flash 2 times, then turn off to indicate the code is valid.) 0 - MENU ENTER 6 7 Point the remote at the device and push POWER. It should turn off. If not, try the other codes listed and continue from step three. Note: To reset remote to factory settings, enter 9-1-1, in RATIO SIGNAL AUDIO VIDEO CC QUIT RECORD PAUSE TIMER SOURCE Step 5. Programming your Zenith remote may allow you to use
one remote to operate up to 4 different devices, if all
modes are programmed.
Once the device turns off, try the other functions. IF
they do not operate, try another code. Or, see page 45.
Not all devices will operate with your Zenith remote
control.

Turn on the device you want to program.
On the chart on page 46/47, find the type of device you’re
programming, and then find the brand name. Write down the
three-number code(s).
Press and hold PRG. It’s recessed so it doesn’t get pushed
accidentally. Use a small, blunt object. When the indicator
light turns on, you can release PRG.
Push the button name with the type of device you’re pro-
gramming: VCR, CABLE, AUX, TV.
Using the NUMBER keypad, enter the three-number code you
found on page 46/47.
Press ENTER to save the code. (The indicator light will flash
2 times, then turn off to indicate the code is valid.)
Point the remote at the device and push POWER. It should
turn off. If not, try the other codes listed and continue from
step three.
Note: To reset remote to factory settings, enter 9-1-1, in
Step 5.
