170 UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE Daytime Running Lights (DRL) - If Equipped The headlights on your vehicle will illuminate when the engine is started and the transmission is in any gear except PARK. This provides a constant lights on condition until the ignition is turned OFF. The lights illuminate at less than 50% of normal intensity. If the parking brake is applied, the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) will turn off. Instrument Panel Dimmer Rotate the center portion of the lever to the extreme bottom position to fully dim the instrument panel lights and prevent the interior lights from illuminating when a door is opened. Rotate the center portion of the lever up to increase the brightness of the instrument panel lights when the parking lights or headlights are on. NOTE: If a turn signal is activated, the DRL lamp on the Rotate the center portion of the lever upward to the next same side of the vehicle will turn off for the duration of detent position to brighten the odometer and radio when the turn signal activation. Once the turn signal is no the parking lights or headlights are on. longer active, the DRL lamp will illuminate.
