General Precautions Lexus Integrated Mobile Phone System 1. Use with the engine on. The Lexus Integrated Mobile Phone System can be used with the engine switch turned ACC or ON. In order to preserve the vehicle battery charge, use this equipment with the engine ON as much as possible. If battery voltage is too low, settings may not be stored normally. NOTICE • Only the approved phone models can be used with this system: Consult your Lexus dealer for approved phones. • This phone utilizes the DSP Echo Canceller in order to minimize noise, such as a howling echo, during hands free cellular use. Please keep in mind that your voice may not be heard clearly depending on your manner of talking or the other party's environment. • When both parties are using hands free phones or placing a call in an environment with excessive noise, or if a fellow passenger is using electronic device such as mobile phone, etc., there may be times when the communication link is weak or noise may be heard. The combination of different phone types and lines may cause abnormal noises or drop calls. Please notice that this is not a malfunction of the phone. CAUTION • When the vehicle is stopped with the engine running, always apply the parking brake for safety purposes. • It is recommended when operating the phone and the console display that your vehicle is parked in a safe location and where it is legal to do so.
