Engine Overheating You will find a coolanttemperature gage onyour Pontiac's instrument panel. You may also find a LOW COOLANT warning light onyour Pontiac instrument panel. A CAUTION: Steam froman overheated engine can burnyou badly, even if you open the hood. Stay.away just from theengine if you see or hearsteam corning from it. Just turn it and get everyone away off from thevehicle until it cools down. Waituntil there is no sign of steam or coolant before opening the hood. If you keep driving when your engine is overheated, the liquids in itcan catch fire. You or others could be badly burned.
