65 • Both DIMMs in a bank must be identical (same manufacturer, CAS latency, number of rows, columns and devices, timing parameters, etc.). Although DIMMs within a bank must be identical, the BIOS supports various DIMM sizes and configurations allowing the banks of memory to be different. Warning! For the system to function, DIMM modules must be installed or removed in matched pairs, following the socket sequence : DIMM 1B and 1A first, then DIMM 2B and 2A. DIMM modules of the same type, banking, stacking technology, and manufacturer must be installed in the Altos G530 system. Note: Refer to "Mainboard layout" on page 14 for the location of the DIMM sockets for each processor.
