Adobe AIR Help 2.0 Commenting makes Help a two-way street - In addition to the author's own authoritative content, commenting can play a role in fostering valuable communitygenerated content as a part of user assistance. This helps the author provide continuous content improvement based upon user feedback. However in some cases, organizations have delayed deployment of commenting over concerns for how to manage inappropriate comments. Comment Moderation provides a solution. Adobe AIR Help2.0 is an AIR Application that can be easily updated and has a very attractive user interface. This new release provides Comment Moderation features that add to the level of collaboration for end users. To assist in the deployment of comment moderation, authors can now use Adobe RoboHelp Server 9 to host and manage the comment approval process. Moderators can accept or reject comments as required. With Adobe RoboHelp 9 the end user collaboration functionality has been increased to include end users who do not share the same network location. Now comments can be stored on the Adobe RoboHelp Server 9, meaning any user regardless of their network location, can rate topics and add comments that will be visible to all. Setting up collaboration Each AIRHelp single source layout in Adobe RoboHelp 9 has a collaboration tab where the path of the server to be used to store comments is specified. This can be a local network folder but Adobe RoboHelp Server 9 offers the ability to store comments on the web server, thereby making them available to all end users. Settings are available in the Web Administrator to control whether end user comments: • Can be added anonymously. • Are added without moderation. Adobe RoboHelp Server 9 Reviewer's Guide 30
