The right image is the output plate, also in log color, that has been passed through the log-tolin-to-log conversion process. In the first part of this chapter ("The Logarithmic Cineon File" section), using an 11-stop example image, 7 stops were extracted and the rest thrown away in order to view and work on the image in the computer.
