None of the methods covered in this chapter are intended to be the only way to perform these tasks-Shake's very nature makes it possible to accomplish the same things in many different ways. Coloring Tips The following topics cover different ways for performing color correction in Shake. Tinting The following five techniques demonstrate the versatility of the color-correction nodes. Each one applies a tint to an image, meaning the midtones are pushed toward a certain color while leaving the blacks and whites alone. None of these techniques has any particular superiority over the others-they just illustrate several ways to do the same thing.
