Sergers Wide Overlock Seam Finish Fabric 2 pieces medium weight wool, 2½" x 5" each 2 strips bias cut tricot, ¾" x 5" (optional) Needle 80/12 Universal Thread 3 cones serger thread Presser Foot standard Stitch wide 3-thread overlock Set serger for a wide 3-thread overlock stitch (left needle). Adjust all settings for a balanced stitch. Serge one 5" raw edge on each piece of fabric. Optional: For added support, wrap the fabric edge with strips of bias cut tricot or water soluble stabilizer before serging. Using your BERNINA® sewing machine and a 5/8" seam allowance, seam the two pieces of fabric together along the serged edges. Press seam open. Trim and mount the sample.
