Oiling For smooth and silent operation, the moving parts of the machine should be oiled periodically. (See diagram below.) 16 REMARKS: Be sure to oil your sewing machine before use. Always clean the lint off your machine before you apply oil. OIL THE MACHINE ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH FOR NORMAL USE. IF THE MACHINE IS USED MORE OFTEN, OIL IT ONCE A WEEK.
