Shooting Close-Ups/ Infinity Shots Shooting Mode Macro Use this mode to record subjects in the range of 3 to 50 cm (1.2 in. to 1.6 ft.) from the end of the lens at the maximum wide angle setting and in the range of 30 to 50 cm (1.0 ft. to 1.6 ft.) at the maximum telephoto setting. Use this mode to record landscapes and distant subjects. Infinity It can also be used for compositions combining both near and distant subjects. The exposure may not be optimal when the flash is used in macro mode
in the range of 3 to 30 cm

Macro
Use this mode to record subjects in the range of 3 to 50
