Power While Using Drive Media Ä CAUTION: To prevent possible video and audio degradation and loss of audio or video playback functionality, do not initiate Standby or Hibernation while using drive media. Do not initiate Standby or Hibernation while the notebook is accessing a drive medium. A drive medium is any storage device that can be inserted into a drive; for example, a diskette, disk, CD, or DVD. If Standby or Hibernation is accidentally initiated while a medium is in use: 1. Briefly press the power button to exit Standby or Hibernation. 2. Restart the notebook. While Using Infrared Do not initiate Standby or Hibernation while using infrared. If the notebook is in Standby or Hibernation, an infrared transmission cannot be initiated. During an infrared transmission: ■ If Standby is initiated, the transmission stops. The transmission resumes when the notebook exits Standby. To exit Standby, briefly press the power button. ■ If Hibernation is initiated, the notebook shuts down. To resume the transmission, exit Hibernation by briefly pressing the power button, then start a new infrared transmission. CAUTION:

loss of audio or video playback functionality, do not initiate Standby
or Hibernation while using drive media.
Do not initiate Standby or Hibernation while the notebook is
accessing a drive medium. A drive medium is any storage device

If Standby or Hibernation is accidentally initiated while a

While Using Infrared
Do not initiate Standby or Hibernation while using infrared.
If the notebook is in Standby or Hibernation, an infrared
