Installation and Configuration 5-29 To change the default connection names: 1. From CLI, issue the show connection command to display connection names and other connection information. The default connection names are listed under the "Connection Name" column. 2. For each host adapter, determine the correct new connection name using the format SVRnTOPn or SVRnBOTn, where SVRn identifies the node number, TOPn identifies the port number (1 or 2) in the top array controller, and BOTn identifies the port number (1 or 2) in the bottom array controller. 3. From CLI, issue the rename command to change each default connection name to the PDC format. For example, you would rename the connection names for host adapter in Node1 as follows: SVR1TOP1 SVR1TOP2 SVR1BOT1 SVR1BOT2 When an installed host adapter has to be replaced, the default connection name for the new host adapter must also be changed to the PDC connection name format. For details, refer to Chapter 6, "Cluster Management." Configuring a Storageset You must perform each of the steps in "Configuring a Storageset" for every MA8000/EMA12000 Storage Subsystem in the cluster. To configure a storageset: 1. Select Storage in the HSG80 Storage Window menu line. Select Add Virtual Disk to begin step 1 of the Add Virtual Disk Wizard. NOTE: A virtual disk is also known as a logical drive. 2. Select a RAID level setting. Click Next for step 2 of the wizard. Supported RAID levels are: RAID1, RAID0+1, RAID3/5, and RAID5. NOTE: If the disks are being used for the first time, a dialog box appears prompting you to initialize the disks. 3. Select the devices you want to include in the virtual disk by clicking on the disks listed in the Available Storage window.
