Defining Enable Passwords Using CLI Commands For information about the CLI commands that perform this function, see the AAA Commands chapter in the CLI Reference Guide. The following table summarizes the equivalent CLI commands you use. Table 6-28. Enable Passwords Commands CLI Command enable password Description Sets a local password to control access to the normal level. TACACS+ Settings The device provide Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS+) client support. TACACS+ provides centralized security for validation of users accessing the device. TACACS+ provides a centralized user management system, while still retaining consistency with RADIUS and other authentication processes. TACACS+ provides the following services: • Authentication - Provides authentication during login and through user names and user-defined passwords. • Authorization - Performed at login. Once the authentication session is completed, an authorization session starts using the authenticated user name. The TACACS+ server checks the user privileges. The TACACS+ protocol ensures network security through encrypted protocol exchanges between the device and TACACS+ server. The TACACS+ Settings page contains both user-defined and the default TACACS+ settings for the inband management port. To display the TACACS+ Settings page, click System →Management Security →TACACS+ in the tree view. 176 Configuring System Information
