Configuring Ports with CLI Commands For information about the CLI commands that perform this function, see the following chapter in the CLI Reference Guide: • Ethernet Configuration Commands The following table summarizes the equivalent CLI commands for this feature. Table 7-12. Port Configuration Commands CLI Command description duplex interface ethernet interface range ethernet mtu negotiation speed show interfaces advertise show interfaces configuration show interfaces description show interfaces detail show interfaces status shutdown Description Adds a description to an interface. Configures the full/half-duplex operation of a given Ethernet interface when not using auto-negotiation. Enters the interface configuration mode to configure an Ethernet type interface. Enters the interface configuration mode to configure multiple Ethernet type interfaces. Enables jumbo frames on an interface by adjusting the maximum size of a packet or maximum transmission unit (MTU). Enables auto-negotiation operation for the duplex parameters of a given interface. Configures the speed of a given Ethernet interface when not using auto-negotiation. Displays information about auto negotiation advertisement. Displays the configuration for all configured interfaces. Displays the description for all configured interfaces. Displays the detail for all configured interfaces. Displays the status for all configured interfaces. Disables interfaces. Protected Port Configuration Use the Protected Port Configuration page to specify a Layer 2 security feature, Private VLAN Edge (PVE) ports, that provides port-based security between ports that are members of the same VLAN. Traffic from protected ports is sent only to the uplink ports and cannot be sent to other ports within the VLAN. To display the Port Configuration page, click Switching →Ports →Protected Port Configuration in the tree view. 322 Configuring Switching Information
